Long-Term 1994 Mazda Miata – Month Six Update

Introduction

In July 2016 I bought a 1994 Mazda Miata in Southern New Jersey from a lady who had owned the car for over 20 years.  It was in great condition, low mileage, and didn’t need much work.  She didn’t have any of the service records which I didn’t like, but it did have a newer top, and paint job.  Over the past six months I’ve driven it 996 miles, completed my first autocross, drove the Blue Ridge mountains, fixed it, broke it, and modified it. And as I continue to modify and get it ready to race, I want you all to follow along here.

Over the past six months I have replace the reverse light switch, added a hardtop, fixed the gauge bezel, taken the water marks off the windows, changed the oil (5w-30 synthetic), and upgraded the stereo and speakers.  And that’s just the beginning! Stay tuned here, as I update and upgrade my 1994 Mazda Miata.
