Build Your Own Shelby GT350

The new configurators are here, the new configurators are here! And this one is extra special, it’s time to build your own Shelby GT350. I’m so excited I can’t type straight. Let’s get started. First you are greeted by a choice of what Mustang you’d like to build. And there it is, just sitting there, minding its own business amongst the plebeian Mustangs.

Paint

We also get a price as well, although it decided to not show up on my screenshot above, $47,795 without adding any options. Well being a new configurator and all, there are some issues. Namely the price change once you delve into the paint options. Unless $24,700 is what they want to charge me to paint my GT350 Deep Impact Blue with white racing strips. Can I find a way to have them honor this price? If so, sold.

Packages & Exterior

Time to add some packages, we’re not spending our own money after all. You are already set with package 900A with standard features like a 5.2L Ti-VCT V8 with Flat Plane Crank, TREMEC^® 6-speed manual transmission, SYNC^®and RECARO^® cloth sport seats with Miko^® suede inserts. But we can add to that certainly. For $6500 you’re not going to not add the Track Package which consists of:

MagneRide™ Damping System
Integrated Driver Control System
Raised Decklid Spoiler
Aluminum Tower to Tower Brace
Engine Oil, Transmission and Differential Coolers
Heavy-duty Front Springs

Visually, you just get a bigger decklid spoiler. The 19″ x 10.5″(F) 19″ x 11″(R) Ebony Black Painted Aluminum Wheels and 3.73 Limited Slip Rear Axle were already included. And great news, I’m still only paying $24,700 for my Shelby. Excellent.

Interior

Well, inside they don’t seem to want me to spend much money. Either that, or everything is already included such as the 8″ touchscreen, voice activated navigation, etc. It does appear that if you opt for the leather seats, you lose the Recaros. I’ll have to uncheck that box. Still just shy of $25,000. I am really good at building Mustangs.

Powertrain and Accessories

Everything in the powertrain (an engine and a transmission) were already included and they directed me to “please contact us” for accessories. Well I will, because I’ve got money left to spend.
