The Lexus GS350 F-Sport Ironically Feels Like an E39 5-Series to Drive

There are many reasons for this. First, it’s not a pimped up Toyota, but a genuine Lexus effort (even though it’s sold as the Toyota Aristo in other markets). Second, it’s a rear-wheel drive biased midsize sedan powered by a naturally aspirated, high revving V6, something becoming rare nowadays. Third, it’s probably the car in the Lexus lineup that wears the Predator mask the best.

To my surprise, the Lexus GS is not the sophisticated super sedan I was expecting it to be. Yes, it has futuristic styling, insane attention to detail, and high tech gadgetry inside, but to drive – well it feels like an early 2000’s BMW 5-series. And that makes you feel good about everything else in the world.
