The 2017 GMC Acadia Actually Feels Like a Truck

This whole crossover gig, man is it getting confusing. With so many different models of all sizes, shapes, and price levels available, it’s become almost impossible to make a enlightened purchase.

First, this GMC is smaller and lighter than the one it replaces. Yes, a 7-passenger crossover that’s actually slimmer than its predecessor. Refreshing right? The Acadia also boasts a rather interesting all-wheel drive system, which, unlike most of its competitors, can be fully disengaged very much like an actual truck. It’s that same system that came in handy when we needed to rescue our Jalopnik Lexus IS from a ditch – please, don’t mention this to Toyota Canada.
