Petit Le Mans 2008

September 16th, 2008 Brian No comments

The first weekend in October marks the 11th running of Petit Le Mans, the crown jewel of the American Le Mans series. This year’s race marks a monumental occasion, as the best in racing technology and the world’s best drivers and manufacturers meet at Road Atlanta to wage war in both speed and the first ever Green Challenge. Peugeot will travel across the pond with their 908 HDi FAP to renew their rivalry with the all-conquering Audi R10’s, Zytek will roll out their unprecedented gas-electric hybrid LMP1, and Indy 500 Champions Scott Dixon and Helio Castroneves are both slated to drive Acura and Porsche LMP2 machines respectively. In the close GT field, LG Motorsports returns with their Corvette along with new Ferrari F430GT’s to do battle with the Porsche 911 RSR’s, the beautiful Ford GT’s, and the PTG Panoz GT.

Don’t miss the best American sportscar racing has to offer! We hope to see you down there.

Cindy McCain Likes Drifting….

…If only I were making this up. The wife of Republican Presidential nominee, John McCain, is into drifting! Um…that’s hilarious and a shocker at the same time.

You definitely can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Props to her.
